This modern take on a classic magical concept creates a one way barrier that a techno-fairy can enter but then cannot leave. Capture circles fell out of fashion during the dark ages as they were in such frequent use that even the most dull witted fairies were aware of their purpose.

Techno-Magickal Language

Although there are dozens of magical languages that have been used in ritual magic through the centuries, only one has been found to have any substantial power over techno-thaumaturgical creatures so far. Traditional inscriptions using runes or Latin scripts have proven very weak against these thoroughly modern fairies.

The language used in this script was rediscovered by Japanese scholars that were investigating items of an ancient cybernetic civilisation. Thrilled with their discovery, they shared it amongst various subcultures in Japan resulting in it being co-opted for inclusion in a children’s TV series.

Although this was the first of the techno-magical languages that came to the awareness of western civilisation, it is suspected that there may be other languages that may work almost as well.

The Binding

By creating a permanent incantation of a charm in a circular ever repeating format it is possible to create a self perpetuating binding tailored to your specific purpose. As a trap circle, this binding is only designed to hold the fairy until it can be transferred to a more suitable permanent container.

Of course the method used for spiders can also be used for a quick disposal, simply place a glass over the circle and then flick the fairy out of a window.
